Mediation
What To Expect workplace mediation dispute resolution
Agreement to Mediate
- Mediation can involve 2 or more parties
- All parties must equally agree to enter mediation and agree the mediator
- Often statements of mediation are presented in advance
- Date and format (live or virtual is scheduled)
- All information is agreed to be kept confidential

The Mediation

In a joint session, each party is given a forum to present their side of the story

There will be individual breakout rooms for private caucus with the mediator
03.
A moderated discussion/ exchange takes place, either through the mediator or directly but with the mediator moderating the discussion
Mediation Style
- Our mediation style is to help shift the dispute towards a mutually agreed upon resolution
- With impartiality, we will help each party express their stance and help add clarity to the position of the opposing side
- The goal is to help each side reach the best possible outcome, without further dispute
- Civility and decency are essential/required

The mediation process occurs without prejudice and matters discussed in mediation will not have an impact on further dispute resolution measures or possible litigation.
Facilitation
Let's get talking. So often disputes are rooted in misunderstanding or lack of clarity. This informal process puts a 3rd party facilitator right at the table of your discussion, ensuring that the proper facts are discussed, removing superlatives and emotion, and having a focused goal or outcome.

Safe Sport Mediation
Having worked with countless sport organizations and government bodies to set up their safe sport program, Safe Sport Mediation is a strong area of expertise. We use a trauma informed approach ensuring that all parties feel heard, respected, and supported. Our approach focuses on creating a neutral, safe space where athletes, coaches, and all sport stakeholders can address issues of misconduct while promoting a culture of respect, integrity, and accountability.


Safe Sport Facilitation
Less formal than mediation, facilitation is focused on getting the conversation started, removing barriers of misunderstanding, informing stakeholders about policies, procedures, and the importance of maintaining a safe environment for all participants. Our facilitation efforts aim to cultivate an environment of trust, safety, and mutual respect.
Safe Sport Officer
In this capacity, Danny assumes the role of your organization’s Safe Sport Officer, providing strategic oversight in implementing policies and practices that protect stakeholders from abuse and misconduct. He works closely with organizations to develop comprehensive Safe Sport programs and responds to incidents with the appropriate measures. The goal is to create an environment where safety is prioritized, and all individuals involved in sport can participate free from harm.
